We’re returning to the Old Forge Brewing Company in Danville to pair beer with artworks from the Samek Art Museum’s collection. Guests will sample a selection of beers while looking closely at visual art. They can learn more about the beer, art and how they relate to each other from knowledgeable bartenders and Samek staff, who will guide the conversation throughout the tasting.

The Museum holds a diverse collection of over 5,500 works of art, most of which by necessity, are kept in storage. Art in Bars provides the opportunity to see works not often on view while also presenting them in a unique context. This is the second time the Samek has partnered with Old Forge and it is the fourth iteration of Art in Bars, generally.

Art in Bars at Old Forge Brewing Company is ticketed–$10 advance purchase, available first-come, first-serve at the bar (298 Mill St in Danville, PA) and the Danville Business Alliance at 346 Mill Street. Tickets are $15 at the door. Admission includes a tasting flight of beers and tickets are timed on the hour beginning at 7pm and 8pm.
