Curator Sarah Battle will present her research on the artist Kenneth V. Young and discuss her curatorial process relating to her exhibition Cosmic Harmonies: Kenneth V. Young.

Biography:

Cosmic Harmonies: Kenneth V. Young is curated by Sarah Battle, Louisville-based scholar, and archive collections consultant of the Ed Hamilton Studios and Visitor Center. For the past seven years Sarah Battle has been researching, writing, and presenting on the painter Kenneth V. Young. Her ongoing oral history project on his formative years as a painter has been supported by Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts, the David C. Driskell Center, Kentucky Oral History Commission, and the University of Louisville. She is a proud Bucknellian (‘ray!), and earned her MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
