International Education Weekis an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
Each year, International Education Week is celebrated at Bucknell University through a number of events. One major event is the International Education Week Photo Contest, which is open to the entire Bucknell campus. Participants in this competition are asked to submit up to four photographs for competition in various categories. This year our four photo categories were: nature, architecture, people and cultures, and funny. All submissions go through the first round of voting on Facebook and the most voted ones qualify for second round of voting held in the Bertrand Library during International Education Week, November 12th -16th 2012.
We are proud to display the winning photographs of the 2012 International Education Week Photo Contest. Enjoy!
