Paul Botelho
Wallpaper #2
April 13 – April 28
Sound Art Installation, ELC Stairwell
Bucknell University
Wallpaper #2 (2013) is composed of three seven meter tall audio speakers, constructed of suspended cellophane with affixed piezo elements, that project a highly diffused, algorithmically-generated soundscape into a reverberant space. The algorithmic component of the piece explores the permutability of a set of just-tuned musical intervals in temporal canonical form.
Join us in the Samek Art Gallery on Wednesday, April 24th from 6:00-7:30 PM for a reception in celebration of Wallpaper #2. The evening will include artist comments by Paul Botelho and the opportunity to listen to the soundscape in the ELC “sound chamber”. This event is open and free to the public.
