By pure dumb luck I got a lecture gig on an Antarctic cruise, and since 2014 have worked as a guide there during winter breaks. I’ve taken over 25,000 photos there. During the lockdown, I’ve been stealing a few hours here and there to edit some shots of icebergs and “bergy bits” floating in water so clear it looks black. Darkening out the background highlights their incredible colors, textures, and shapes. This is one of my favorites.
