Go behind the scenes with Samek Spotlights, a monthly program showcasing unique works from the museum’s permanent collection. Through guided discussion and close looking, participants explore the stories behind the art and museum collections. Free to the public but space is limited. Registration is required.
This program is open to students, staff, faculty, and the greater community!
| Thursday, September 3 | 5:30-6:30pm | Material + Process of Abstraction | Have you ever looked at an artwork and thought, “How did they make that?” or “I could have made that!” If so, this program might be for you. Discover how colorful abstract artworks in the collection were made, and along the way find the clues that artists leave behind that reveal the “how” and “what” behind the art. | Register here. |
