Teen Summer Workshop 2016 – Tell Your Story (7.20 – 7.22)

This year’s third annual Teen Summer Workshop will take place July 20-22 from 10am-5pm, at the Downtown Gallery (416 Market Street, Lewisburg PA) and at our Samek Gallery (3rd Floor, Elaine Langone Center, Bucknell University). The theme of the workshop is “Tell Your Story” and we’ll be looking at how artists incorporate words and narrative into their artworks. Together, we will create 2D and 3D work including but not limited to artist books, cameraless photography, and comics inspired by the Samek Art Museum’s collections and special exhibition, Pause and Effect. Workshop instructors are Bucknell Art Assistant Ashley Freeby and Greg Stuart, Samek Art Museum Public Programs & Outreach Manager. We will provide lunches for participants and a reception open to friends and family from 5-6pm on the last day of the workshop.

The workshop is free, but space is limited on a first-come, first-serve basis. After filling out this form, we will let you know if you have been accepted, and will send additional permission slips and waivers. The workshop is open to incoming High School Sophomores through outgoing High School Seniors. You must have the signed permission of a parent or guardian to attend the workshop. Please email Greg Stuart at greg.stuart@bucknell.edu for more information.
