Samek Distinguished Art Lecture Series

Launched in 2015 with a generous gift from Ed and Martie Samek and an inaugural lecture by John Wilmerding, the Samek Distinguished Art Lectures are an annual presentation of scholarship or art projects from accomplished art writers, educators, curators, and artists. This lecture series recognizes academic and artistic innovators and invites them to Bucknell University to: inspire young people to engage with art; instill a spirit of lifelong learning, and make incisive contributions to the larger discourse and history of art.
